Why would I do such thing, rooting the phone?
It had its reason of course. Let it be understood, I did'nt want to root the phone at all!
But on the other side it led me to the system App, named "father.rickety.ordinaire.suspiciousness". A dirty invention, seemingly created through chinese hands, occupying your device, downloading and installing additional apps to your phone, you never wanted, rendering the device useless.
About my Story.
I live in a rural region in Cebu Island, Philippines, where wired communication is unavailable.
Wired Internet exists along the nautical Highway and in urban regions, where the crowd insures a sufficient income for the Telco-Industry.
If you look at the OpenSignal Map, which shows the 2G/3G/4G-coverage of the Telco-Brands available, you'll see a discrepancy rising up, the more you move into the rural area.
The side-effect of Radio-Towers being thin on the ground is a lack of Signal for a proper Internet-Connectivity. The trees on the Island can get as high as 20 meter. A Tower has to be more than that, to function properly and such towers are costly. The Island, located on the famous Ring of fire, has been build by volcanic activities in the far past and therefore it contains numerous hills, which makes placing a Tower more difficult.
It is'nt a big deal to stay connected when walking through the city. However, in the rural area it is!
The basic way for Internet there is a steady Installation of a 3G/4G-Router, pointing somewhere, where you get a steady Signal and it allows you to open webpages and make downloads.
Or, and here is where the alternative comes in handy, you use a cheap china-smartphone.
Together with an Access-Point with Repeater-/ or Client-Mode, it settles your needs like the first solution. The phone has to be placed in a dry place outside your home. Preferably on a tree, inside a Tuberware with a powercord extension to keep it charged.
Sounds replicable so far? To keep track of your connection state, you have always to climb that tree, open the Box and look at the signal-state. Very uncomfortable, isnt it?
The Google-Store offers an Application to mirror your phones screen to your computer desktop and to interact with. It demands a rooted phone to do so!
And so I did! Giving a preinstalled Malware in the background full access to my phone, without intension!
How I got rid of this? This guy helped me!
